Information We Collect
We collect two types of information about you: personally identifiable information and non-personal, aggregate information (such as information regarding the pages on our Site that you have visited and your IP address).
(A) Personally Identifiable Information
“Personally Identifiable Information” is information that identifies you personally, such as your name, address, telephone number, and email address. We collect and store the personally identifiable information that you have provided to us. Here are some examples of the ways in which we may collect your personally identifiable information:
When you register on the Site, you will be required to give some personally identifiable information to generate your account, such as your first and last name and email address.
When you request information via one of the email addresses identified on the Site or otherwise contact us with a question, we may collect your name, address and email address in order to respond to that inquiry. For example, if you request to receive our newsletter offered by us, we may request this information in order to send you the issue.
We may collect your name, email address, and other contact information if you register for an event. For example, we may collect this information if you purchase tickets for an event.
We may collect your name, address, email address, telephone number, and payment information when you choose to make a donation.
(B) Non-Personally Identifiable Information
“Non-Personally Identifiable Information” can be technical information or it can be demographic information, such as your age, gender or your interests. Non-personally identifiable information does NOT identify you personally. Here are some examples of the non-personally identifiable information that is collected via the Site and a description of how this information is used:
IP Addresses: Every Computer connected to the Internet is given a domain name and a set of numbers that serve as that computer’s “Internet Protocol” or IP Address. When you request a page from any page within the Sites, our Web servers automatically recognize your domain name and IP Address. The domain name and IP address reveal nothing personal about you other than the IP address from which you have accessed the Sites. Funds for the Missions, Inc. may use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the Sites, track your movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.
Cookies: A “cookie” is a small text file that may be used to collect information about your activity on the Sites. For example, when someone visits a page within the Site, a cookie is placed on the user’s machine (if the user accepts cookies) or is read if the user has visited the Site previously. You may set most browsers to notify you if you receive a cookie, or you may choose to block cookies with your browser, but if you do, you may not be able to take advantage of the personalized features enjoyed by other users to our Site.
